Kent Woodruff, U.S. Forest Service project coordinator on the Methow Beaver Project and key researcher for the NPLCC-supported Beaver Restoration Guidebook, will be showcasing a 25-minute film titled "One Stick at a Time." The film shows a positive example of what is being done in Washington to use native species (beavers) to soften the impacts of climate change. Kent will also lead a discussion on how to soften the impacts of, and adapt to, climate change.

The main effort is to communicate that excellent work has been done to identify some of the specific climate change impacts that are here now and are arriving with increasing frequency, and demonstrate a few ways people in the Methow Valley are responding. The project is focused on showing that we have our work cut out for us and we need to start now to retain the things we value.
