Union of Concerned Scientists Guest Blog: Lessons from the Land and Water Songs to Heal

Dr. Samantha Chisholm Hatfield, of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians recently wrote a guest blog for the Union of Concerned Scientists highlighting the bridge between science, Traditional Ecological Knowledge, and collective connections to the land.

Dr. Hatfield is actively engaged in conservation throughout the region, including with the NPLCC and our partners. She is a leader in research and teachings around Traditional Ecological Knowledges, their importance, integration and relevancy to Western science, and she shares an inspirational passion for the land.
