Blueprint for a climate-resilient landscape first Core Team meeting

Meeting Date: 1/20/2016

- 1/20/2016

Location: Portland, OR

Weds, January 20th - 10am-3pm
Portland, OR

The North Pacific LCC and partners are in the development stages of a landscape conservation design project for the Lower Columbia River and coastal Washington/Oregon. We are currently inviting interested participants to be a part of the Core Team which will lead the project. We are hosting a meeting for interested participants in Portland, OR on January 20th from 10am-3pm.

This meeting will cover the initial phase of the project leading up to a science-based, spatially-explicit product that identifies targets of interest to partners and articulates measurable objectives for those targets; assesses current and projected landscape patterns and processes; and identifies a desired future condition, conservation/development trade-offs, and implementation strategies. When delivered in a coordinated fashion, strategies derived from landscape conservation design processes can meet both societal values and needs while maintaining ecological integrity and biodiversity.

To learn more about the project and determine if you or someone from your organization or agency would be interested in getting involved, visit the project website or watch a thirty minute webinar about the project.
